Schedule for Monday, January 25, 2021

The Senate stands adjourned until 3:00 p.m. on Monday, January 25, 2021.

Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session to consider the nomination of Executive Calendar #2, Janet Louise Yellen, of California, to be Secretary of the Treasury. The time until 5:30 p.m. will be equally divided between the two Leaders or their designees and at 5:30 p.m. the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Yellen nomination.

At 7:00 p.m., we expect the House managers will present Articles of Impeachment. They would read the text of H.Res.40, a resolution appointing and authorizing managers for the impeachment trial of Donald John Trump, former President of the United States; and then they would read the text of H.Res.24, a resolution impeaching Donald John Trump, former President of the United States, for high crimes and misdemeanors. The managers would then request leave to withdraw.

Monday, January 25th at 5:30pm – 1 roll call vote:

1.     Confirmation of Janet Yellen to be Secretary of the Treasury
